Aston Martin's Formula 1 team is based at Silverstone and traces its lineage to Jordan Grand Prix, which Eddie Jordan founded and took into the world championship in 1991. The squad later raced as Midland, Spyker, Force India and Racing Point, winning Grands Prix as Jordan and, in 2020, as Racing Point. A consortium led by Lawrence Stroll bought it in 2018 and rebranded it as Aston Martin for 2021; the marque itself had raced in Formula 1 in 1959 and 1960.
Stroll has invested heavily in a new factory campus at Silverstone, including a wind tunnel that came into use in 2025. The team's best constructors' result is fifth, achieved in 2023 and 2024, with Fernando Alonso scoring eight podiums in the first of those seasons. From 2026 it races with Honda as its works power unit partner.
