British Grand Prix 2026

Silverstone Circuit, the home of the British Grand Prix, straddles the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire border in England, United Kingdom. Built on the site of a Second World War RAF bomber station, it hosted the very first Formula 1 World Championship race on 13 May 1950. The British Grand Prix later rotated with Aintree and Brands Hatch, but has been held at Silverstone every year since 1987.

The modern Arena layout is one of the fastest on the calendar, and its high-speed sequences define the lap: the sweep through Copse, the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel complex, and the approach to Stowe after the Hangar Straight. The Wellington Straight offers another slipstreaming opportunity, while the open, former airfield setting means wind and changeable British weather often play a part.
