Lando Norris is a British driver, born in Bristol and raised in Somerset, who became Formula 1 world champion in 2025. A former karting world champion, he won three single-seater titles in 2016, including the Formula Renault Eurocup, took the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European crown and finished runner-up to George Russell in Formula 2 in 2018. McLaren handed him his race debut in 2019, aged 19.
Norris claimed his first podium in Austria in 2020 and his first Grand Prix win in Miami in 2024, a season in which he finished runner-up to Max Verstappen. In 2025 he won seven races and came out on top of a three-way fight with team-mate Oscar Piastri and Verstappen, sealing the title by two points with third place at the Abu Dhabi finale. He holds British and Belgian citizenship.
