Nicolas Hülkenberg is a German driver from Emmerich am Rhein who won the A1 Grand Prix series for Germany, the 2008 F3 Euro Series and the 2009 GP2 title in his rookie season. He made his Formula 1 debut with Williams in 2010 and took a surprise pole position at that year's Brazilian Grand Prix, beating Sebastian Vettel by more than a second in changeable conditions.
His career has since taken in Force India, Sauber, Renault and Haas, plus short-notice substitute outings for Racing Point and Aston Martin, and he won the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours with Porsche. After a record run of Grand Prix starts without a podium, he finally finished third at the 2025 British Grand Prix with Sauber, and stayed with the team into its Audi era.
