Mexico City Grand Prix 2026

Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez hosts the Mexico City Grand Prix inside the Magdalena Mixhuca sports park in south-east Mexico City, Mexico. Named after racing brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, it opened in 1959 and held its first World Championship Grand Prix in 1963. After spells on the calendar from 1963 to 1970 and 1986 to 1992, Formula 1 returned in 2015 on a layout renovated by Hermann Tilke.

Sitting around 2,240 metres above sea level, the circuit's thin air reduces drag and downforce, so teams run high-downforce set-ups while still reaching big speeds on the 1.2 km main straight. Late in the lap the track threads through the Foro Sol, a former baseball stadium whose packed stands create one of the sport's most atmospheric settings and host the podium ceremony.
